BIO & RESEARCH INTERESTs
I am an Assistant Professor and Digital Services Librarian at Oklahoma State University's Edmon Low Library, working in the Digital Resources and Discovery Services (DRDS) department. My work supports library statistics and reporting, electronic resource management (ERM), metadata quality control, and responsible data practices across OSU Stillwater Libraries and the OSU A&M Library Consortium. So much of this work happens behind the scenes. Outcomes show up in system workflows, reported data, and provided access to institutional records rather than in direct patron interaction. When it's done well, access is stable, statistics are consistent and explainable, and staff have the documentation they need to keep things running. I try to build systems that work without me in the room.
My workflows are grounded in analysis, systems thinking, and the belief that data stewardship is an ethical practice, one that requires transparency about what data represents, how it was collected, and what it can and cannot tell us. I focus on how data are created, interpreted, documented, and reused across platforms, reporting cycles, and staffing changes.
