Supporting Oklahoma State University’s land-grant mission, we traveled to Rwanda, Africa, to provide professional development for school teachers for both private school and government schools, We partnered with an in-country organization, The three day teachers’ workshop would focused on supporting Advocates Christian Academy’s 26 teachers and 21 government school teachers from across the country. The teachers’ workshop sessions included practical applications of active learning techniques, classroom management norms/protocols, differentiation models, and professional development resources.
