• Adapt instruction to diverse learning styles using a structured approach: brief introduction, practice, and individualized reinforcement
• Prioritize professional development and mentorship, supporting students with career exploration, application materials, mock interviews, and recommendations
• Integrate service-learning to build student character, responsibility, and engagement with community partners, particularly underserved populations
• Highlight the social dimensions of horticulture, including community-building, food security, mental well-being, and qualitative research methods; aims to expand student exposure to these topics
• Committed to fostering student confidence, accessibility, and meaningful educator–student connections, providing academic, professional, and service-oriented support while maintaining clear boundaries

In this role, Dr. Biang serves as a liaison for OSU students who are taking ACCEPtS courses offered at other institutions and listed as the instructor of record for those courses (but does not teach those courses). Dr. Biang submits final grades for all OSU students who take ACCEPtS courses at partnering institutions.
