As a professor of educational leadership, I am committed to the creation and dissemination of new knowledge concerning innovation in educational leadership as well as advancements in networked organizational learning. This centric strand of innovation and organizational learning informs my teaching and service within the educational leadership community here in the US and abroad. I further have worked to develop and study novel frameworks of exploring leadership conversations, namely Principal Support of Teacher Psychological Needs (PSTPN) and Transformative Leadership Conversation (TLC). Toward this end, I have developed in collaboration a scale to measure and test both PSTPN and TLC, which explore the nuances of intentional leadership conversation, namely framing, questioning, listening, and sense-making.
