Jayne Ann Williamson

Jayne Ann Williamson's passion lies in the improvement of teaching and learning no matter whether she works with a classroom of elementary students or a room of 120 adults. In 2007, she was selected as one of 30 teachers in the nation to help lead mathematics workshops for school districts across the United States. As a consultant for the nonprofit organization TERC (Technical Education Research Center), she designed customized professional development for schools and led week-long workshops to help transform mathematics education while deepening the mathematics understandings of the participants. Throughout these experiences and as this work continued for Jayne Ann, she learned extensively about facilitating engaging, meaningful professional development work sessions.  This work continued through 2015.

As a Career Track Faculty member at Oklahoma State University, her interests include integration of technology for instruction in elementary and middle school teaching as well as collaborating with teacher leaders to help improve practices in the schools.  Her research interests include effective online delivery methods for elementary education majors and incorporation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to promote critical thinking.
