Rachel Cox joined the faculty as Instructor of Professional Practice in the School of Accounting at OSU in 2017 after spending 5 years working as a CPA in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She graduated from Oklahoma State with both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Accounting in 2012. After graduating, she passed the CPA and spent 4 years working as an auditor at Ernst & Young LLP (EY) in Tulsa. At EY, Rachel worked on the financial statement audits of some of the largest oil & gas companies in Oklahoma. She also spent a year and a half working as a CPA for BOK Financial in Tulsa as a Commercial Portfolio Reporting Specialist in the bank's Credit Administration division. At BOKF, Rachel prepared financial reports related to the bank's loan loss allowance, nonaccrual loans, and past-due loans for BOKF's Credit Committee and various regulators. Rachel still maintains her CPA license in the state of Oklahoma.
Rachel is now in her 9th year as a career-track accounting professor at OSU. At OSU, Rachel serves as the Coordinator of the Accounting Program at the OSU-Tulsa campus. She also serves as the Undergraduate Accounting Program coordinator for the OSU-Stillwater campus. She is the faculty advisor for Student CPT, an ethics student organization at OSU-Stillwater, and founded Tulsa Accounting Scholars, another student organization at OSU-Tulsa that connects employers and students. Rachel is a Spears Teaching Fellow and has a Business Ethics Teaching Fellowship. She chairs the scholarship and awards process for the School of Accounting on both campuses. Since 2019, Rachel has fully developed 4 separate three-credit accounting courses fully online for the department. She primarily teaches Intermediate Accounting & Data Analysis, Ethics, Practicum in Professional Accounting II, and Auditing courses now, but has taught Financial Accounting and Foundational Accounting Skills in the past. Outside of OSU, Rachel also serves as the Treasurer on the Board of Directors at Cornerstone Church in Tulsa.

Rachel Domnick joined the faculty at Oklahoma State University in 2017 as an Instructor of Professional Practice in the School of Accounting. She serves as the Master's in Accounting Program Coordinator and teaches Advanced Financial Accounting. Before entering academia, she worked as an auditor for Elliott Davis Decosimo and continues to maintain her active CPA license. During her public accounting career, she provided assurance services to a diverse client base across the healthcare, not-for-profit, foundation, and government sectors.
Rachel has been recognized for her contributions in and out of the classroom. She received the Oklahoma Society of CPAs (OSCPA) Outstanding Accounting Educator Award in 2025 and the OSCPA Trailblazer Award in 2023. She was honored with the Spears School of Business (SSB) Innovation in Pedagogy and High Impact Practices Award in 2025, the SSB Richard Poole Outreach Teaching Excellence Award in 2025, the SSB Engagement with Practice and Societal Impact Award in 2024, the SSB Power of Personal Award in 2022, and has been nominated for the Greiner Outstanding Teacher Award.
Since joining OSU, Rachel has collaborated with the Spears School of Business Center for the Future of Work to develop and deliver professional development programs focused on accounting and financial for tribal entities, accounting for governmental and tribal entities, and personal finance.
Beyond her work at the university, Rachel is an active member of the City of Stillwater Audit Committee.
Before her academic career, Rachel worked as an auditor at Elliott Davis in Charleston, South Carolina. During her time in public accounting, she provided assurance services to a broad client base, including healthcare organizations, nonprofit entities, foundations, and governmental agencies.

With a distinguished academic career spanning nearly 10 years, I bring a wealth of experience in teaching excellence, student mentorship, and academic leadership to my current role as Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Learning at the Spears School of Business, Oklahoma State University.

Rick Laux joined the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University in 2023 and currently holds the Judy Freeman Johnson Professorship. Prior to joining OSU, Laux held tenure-track appointments at Penn State University and Purdue University.
Laux has published in all five of the top accounting journals, including The Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Review of Accounting Studies, and Contemporary Accounting Research. His research focuses on corporate taxation, accounting for income taxes, and how taxes influence economic decision-making.
Prior to starting his academic career, Laux worked as a tax consultant for Ernst & Young. He is a licensed CPA in the state of Wisconsin.

Dr. Lawson joined the faculty at OSU in 2012 after completing his PhD at Texas A&M University. Since that time, he has taught undergraduate and graduate courses on accounting information systems. He has also taught the introductory seminar for the Accounting Department's PhD program and supervised several Honors theses for Master's degree students. His research interests focus on auditing and corporate governance-related topics, including audit pricing and quality, audit market structure, and earnings quality. Prior to entering academia, Dr. Lawson began his professional career in the auditing practice of Arthur Andersen and worked for several years in both public accounting and industry accounting positions. He finished his professional career as a Sr. Manager for The Siegfried Group. Dr. Lawson still maintains his CPA license in Arkansas.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy (summa cum laude) from Metropolitan State College of Denver and a Ph.D. in Accountancy (Finance minor) from Arizona State University. His research projects include the market valuation of accounting earnings components, earnings manipulation, the organizational choices of distressed companies and accounting pedagogy with publications in The Accounting Review, Review of Accounting Studies, Advances in Accounting, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, Issues in Accounting Eduction, and Accounting and Financial Control. Dr. Sisneros previously worked as a controller for Central City Opera House Association and the CCOHA Endowment Fund. He serves on the PAC-15 Advisory Council and as planning committee member for the PhD Project, as faculty advisor for Beta Alpha Psi- Chi Chapter at Oklahoma State, and as a member of the School of Accounting Ph.D. Program Committee among other activities. Past service positions include Beta Alpha Psi- Theta Sigma Chapter where he was named Outstanding Faculty Advisor in 2017, co-chair of the Minority Affairs Committee at CU Denver, treasurer and chair of the Education Committee for the Wichita Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and executive director for the NABA Accounting Career Awareness Program at Wichita State. Dr. Sisneros and his wife, Greta, have two daughters, Sydnee and Danee enrolled at OSU. In 2019, Dr. Sisneros was inducted into the PhD Project Hall of Fame recognizing his 20 years of service to the organization.

Angela Wheeler Spencer joined the faculty at OSU in 2006 after completing her PhD at the University of Arkansas. She currently teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses, including courses on financial accounting research and sustainability reporting. Her research interests primarily focus on the future of the accounting profession, sustainability reporting, and the education of accounting professionals. Dr. Spencer maintains an active CPA license in both Oklahoma and Arkansas.
Angela Wheeler Spencer joined the faculty at OSU in 2006 after completing her PhD at the University of Arkansas. She currently teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses, including courses on financial accounting research and sustainability reporting. Her research interests primarily focus on the future of the accounting profession, sustainability reporting, and the education of accounting professionals. Dr. Spencer maintains an active CPA license in both Oklahoma and Arkansas.

She later joined the income tax department at Chesapeake Energy Corporation, where she was responsible for approximately half of the company’s state income tax filings, including quarterly estimated payments, extension filings, and ongoing correspondence with state taxing authorities.
