BIO & RESEARCH INTERESTs
Weili Zhang is Regents Professor and Director of Graduate Program in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Oklahoma State University. His research interests include terahertz optoelectronics, nano- and micro-structured materials optics, ultrafast phenomena, and semiconductor photonics.
Dr. Zhang's research has been primarily sponsored by the National Science Foundation. Dr. Zhang serves as Associate Editor of Photonics Insights and Research, and Section Editor-in-Chief of Materials. Dr. Zhang is a recipient of 2015 OSU Regents Distinguished Research Award. Dr. Zhang is a fellow of Optica (formerly The Optical Society, OSA).
Dr. Zhang has published over 440 invited or contributed articles in peer-reviewed journals, including Nature Physics, Nature Photonics, Nature Communications, Science Advances, Physical Review Letters, Advanced Materials, Advanced Science, Advanced Photonics, Optica, Applied Physics Letters, and Optics Letters. His articles indexed by Web of Science have received a total of over 25,600 cites with an h-index of 80. Among these, 16 articles are ESI Highly Cited Papers. Dr. Zhang was named a Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.
Research Interests:
Terahertz optoelectronics, nano- and micro-structured materials optics, ultrafast phenomena, and semiconductor photonics.
