Thomason is a native of Mangum, OK and OSU graduate. As head of the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences he provides leadership to achieve the highest possible level of distinction in teaching, research, and Extension. He holds an M.S. in agronomy and Ph.D. in soil science from Oklahoma State University.
