Tracy Quan

I am a geochemist who focuses on organic carbon and nitrogen geochemistry in sedimentary and produced water systems. My research includes organic carbon and nitrogen cycling in aquatic environments, past and present; use of nitrogen stable isotopes as proxies for redox, productivity, and nitrogen biogeochemistry in sedimentary and petroleum systems; and organic compound identification in produced water. I am also active in Geoscience education and outreach focusing on secondary school students, including the Water Research, Assessment, and Networking Ecosystem (WRANE) out-of-school-time education program and the GEO-REx Summer Camp.
