TEACHING SUMMARY

My passion is designing and developing innovative, creative online courses and engaging with students in those courses. I recently led the design and deployment of two award-winning courses: an online career simulation for NASA's recruitment of community college students and a gamified, online NASA STEM engagement course.

I founded and directed the Emerging Technologies and Creativity Research Lab in the College of Education and Human Sciences to support faculty, staff, and students in the integration of technology in teaching, research, and service endeavors.

Over my career, I have developed two new master's degrees (Educational Technology and School Library Media), three new certificates (graduate - Online Teaching, School Library Certification and undergraduate - Instructional Design), a Ph.D. (Learning, Design and Technology option under the Ph.D. in Education). I have designed, developed, and taught 14 new courses.

I greatly enjoy presenting creative ways to design engaging online instruction.
