    The proposed 2026 Oklahoma Academic Standards for Science includes “Connections to Scientific Literacy”. Nature of science (characteristics of scientific knowledge and how scientific knowledge is developed) is a critical component of scientific literacy. Participants will learn about the eight scientific literacy connections, how those connections are related to the three-dimensional standards, and some practical ways to integrate these connections in science lessons.
