I am currently a Teaching Assistant Professor of Speech Communication in the Department of Psychology at Oklahoma State University I utilize rhetorical criticism and other qualitative methods in my research on social justice speech and rhetoric, civic and community engagement in higher education, and critical pedagogy. I enjoy sharing my knowledge of these subjects and learning from students in and outside of the classroom. In my various speech communication courses, I focus on building community to engage in dialogue on topics ranging from lighthearted to serious.
