Co-director animal model core (AMC, 1 month effort) (July 2023 to present): As the co-director of animal model core, I facilitate training and animal studies in the BSL-3 facility for the CoBRE phase III grant recipients, OCRID researchers, OSU, and Oklahoma researchers. Given my 12 years of experience working with high pathogenic viruses in BSL-3/ABSL-3 setting, I am actively involved in training various laboratory members on BSL-3/ABSL-3 studies. I also provide research support and letter of collaboration to several researchers on campus and in Oklahoma committing BSL-3/ABSL-3 study service to support research programs.

As of the Immunopathology Core (IPC), I play a pivotal role in facilitating cutting-edge research in immunology, pathology, and animal studies for the CoBRE Phase III grant recipients, as well as researchers from the Oklahoma Center for Respiratory and Infectious Disease (OCRID) and Oklahoma State University. My efforts have not only strengthened core capabilities through strategic collaborations but have also enhanced our resources by securing funding for state-of-the-art equipment. Key achievements include the successful collaborations with Dr. Butcher and Subramanian to house cryotome and a Wolf-Flow Cell Cytometer, both vital for a use by CVM, OSU, and Oklahoma researchers. Additionally, I have written several internal and external grant applications to seek funding to increase out equipment infrastructure. Our efforts to obtain a LICOR Odyssey Imager further illustrate our commitment to providing exceptional resources that benefit all researchers within CVM, OSU, and the broader Oklahoma research community. These advancements position the IPC as a key core facility that support research and fosters collaboration in immunological and pathology studies.
