BIO & RESEARCH INTERESTs
Rachel Domnick joined the faculty at Oklahoma State University in 2017 as an Instructor of Professional Practice in the School of Accounting. She serves as the Master's in Accounting Program Coordinator and teaches Advanced Financial Accounting. Before entering academia, she worked as an auditor for Elliott Davis Decosimo and continues to maintain her active CPA license. During her public accounting career, she provided assurance services to a diverse client base across the healthcare, not-for-profit, foundation, and government sectors.
Rachel has been recognized for her contributions in and out of the classroom. She received the Oklahoma Society of CPAs (OSCPA) Outstanding Accounting Educator Award in 2025 and the OSCPA Trailblazer Award in 2023. She was honored with the Spears School of Business (SSB) Innovation in Pedagogy and High Impact Practices Award in 2025, the SSB Richard Poole Outreach Teaching Excellence Award in 2025, the SSB Engagement with Practice and Societal Impact Award in 2024, the SSB Power of Personal Award in 2022, and has been nominated for the Greiner Outstanding Teacher Award.
Since joining OSU, Rachel has collaborated with the Spears School of Business Center for the Future of Work to develop and deliver professional development programs focused on accounting and financial for tribal entities, accounting for governmental and tribal entities, and personal finance.
Beyond her work at the university, Rachel is an active member of the City of Stillwater Audit Committee.
Before her academic career, Rachel worked as an auditor at Elliott Davis in Charleston, South Carolina. During her time in public accounting, she provided assurance services to a broad client base, including healthcare organizations, nonprofit entities, foundations, and governmental agencies.
Rachel is a proud OSU alumna, holding both a Bachelor's and a Master’s degree in Accounting, and she maintains her CPA license in the state of Oklahoma.
