Nijal Munankarmi

The Nepali Academics in America (NACA) is a non-profit and non-partisan network established to enhance collaboration among academics and scholars affiliated with higher education and research institutions based in the United States of America and globally. As an independent professional network, its goal is to enhance the interests of academics and scholars focusing on Nepal for professional growth, collaboration, and high impact academic, research, and service initiatives in the United States, Nepal, and beyond.

The Association for Nepal and Himalayan Studies (ANHS) is the oldest academic organization in the United States devoted to the study of Nepal and wider Himalayan regions. ANHS is guided by the following Mission Statement: The Association’s mission is to promote research, teaching and outreach activities to increase the understanding of the Himalaya and adjacent mountain regions and to promote scholarly exchanges between the United States and citizens of countries in the region. ANHS Members include faculty, scholars, students, universities, colleges, libraries, and development organizations that specialize in Nepal and the Himalaya. ANHS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization registered with the State of Oregon and governed by its ANHS Constitution.
