TEACHING SUMMARY

My career at OSU covers Spanish from the 1000-level up. This includes every segment of introductory and intermediate Spanish, and well as advanced grammar and composition, advanced conversation, and Spanish (Peninsular) civilization. I also teach, in English, an Honors add-on course which introduces the studetns to a wide selection of narratives of the Spanish civil war.

Since 2019, I have also taught one of our department's most popular General Education courses (LL 1113: The World through Film), which offers students an introduction to the current offerings in our department by way of cinema in each of those languages.

    This course will give students a glimpse of the world, of different peoples and cultures, through movies. It would like to awake in them an appreciation for the diversity of the world we live in and expose them to the basics of various languages spoken around the world. Instructors from the different languages taught in the Department of Literatures and Languages will visit the class and expose the students to some elements of the languages they teach.
