A continuation of MUSI 5512, with emphasis upon music of the 20th century and its attendant specialized performance techniques.Prerequisite(s): MUSI 3753, MUSI 3763 or equivalent.

A survey of the ethnic settlers of America and their musical traditions and literatures. Particular emphasis is given to settlers indigenous to Oklahoma. Students will examine their individual ethnic roots in music, family traditions, and life passages (births, deaths, celebrations).
