Katiuscia C. B. Teixeira earned her Ph.D. in Teleinformatics Engineering with a focus on Mathematics Education in 2016. Her research centers on evidence-based approaches to teaching undergraduate mathematics for STEM students, with particular emphasis on instructional design and educational assessment. She studies challenges in gateway mathematics courses and develops strategies to improve student learning and academic performance.
