BIO & RESEARCH INTERESTs
I am an Associate Professor of Industrial Engineering and Management at Oklahoma State University, where I direct the Human-Systems Engineering and Applied Statistics (HSEAS) Lab. I am originally from South Carolina, and moved to Oklahoma as an Assistant Professor in 2020. I earned my BS, MS, and PhD in Industrial Engineering from Clemson University, where my doctoral research focused on quantifying human behavior in embodied human-computer systems using Bayesian statistical methods. My research spans human factors engineering, applied statistics, neuroergonomics, cognitive engineering, psychophysiology, and human-automation interaction, with applications in healthcare, aerospace, and defense. I use neurophysiological (EEG, fNIRS) and psychophysiological (heart rate, pupillometry) measures to study cognitive constructs such as workload, situational awareness, trust, and decision making in complex environments. My work also extends to distributed and shared cognition across human teams and human-AI teams.
