You will learn vocabulary, dialogs, and structure to help greet patients, take vital signs, interview for symptoms, review medical history, give a physical exam, and recommend prescriptions or follow-up instructions. Although by no means comprehensive, the course will provide a starting point for communicating with Spanish-speaking patients. Cultural notes will be provided to assist in making patients more comfortable.Prerequisite(s): 18 credits of lower-division Spanish or equivalent proficiency.
