Jennifer Jones

I am a Professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Science at Oklahoma State University and Director of the Center for Developmental Disabilities. I earned a PhD in 2009 and was delighted to join my alma mater and home department as a tenure-track faculty member in 2013. In 2016, I was recognized as a Fellow for the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (FAAIDD).

Research Interests:

I am a community-engaged scholar. My research, instruction, and outreach are dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their family members. Specific foci include:

• Fostering inclusion and belonging for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across the lifespan
• Enhancing formal and informal systems of supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their family members
• Promoting positive self-development of adolescents and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
