TEACHING SUMMARY

Dr. Sanders teaches elementary education and K-12 literacy courses: Teaching Reading, Language Arts in the Curriculum, Children's Literature Across the Curriculum, and Literacy Assessment and Instruction.  She also teaches literacies and language arts educations at the doctoral level, including Seminar in Writing Pedagogy, and Language, Literacy, and Culture in Education. She co-developed and is the lead instructor for a general education course that focuses on inclusive representations in literature titled American Stories: Diverse Peoples in Young Adult Literature.
