I am currently the Director of the School of Media & Strategic Communications. I am a professor and administrator who believes teaching is about mentoring. I take the most satisfaction from seeing a student's light turn "on" and then succeed. I bring an even mix of academic rigor and "rubber hits the road" professional experience to the table in the education experience.

I teach print and broadcast journalism (and particularly excel at sports journalism), Digital production (TV, radio, Internet, New Media), International media, International relations, Media Literacy and media management.

I also dabble in play by play announcing of sporting events.

My objective is to mentor students who are ready for the changing world we live in - students ready to get jobs that probably don't exist yet when in the classroom. I seek to do this, above all, in a collegial environment with my colleagues.
