OSU holds the annual 3-Minute Thesis competition for graduate students and I was recommended as a potential judge. These presentations challenge our students to communicate their research in compelling way and inspire a broad audience—all with just 1 slide and 3 minutes. We look for judges who would be attentive and curious listeners, not for those who are experts in a particular research discipline. Indeed presenters are expected to engage with an audience of all backgrounds and interests.
