Igor Pritsker

Igor Pritsker graduated from Donetsk State University with Master's Degree in Mathematics in 1990, and immediately entered graduate study at the Institute for Applied Mathematics and Mechanics (Ukrainian Academy of Sciences). In 1992, Igor Pritsker decided to continue his education at the University of South Florida, Tampa, where he completed his Ph.D. degree under the supervision of Prof. E. B. Saff in 1995. After two postdoctoral
appointments, Dr. Pritsker joined the Department of Mathematics at OSU in 1999. He directed a number of graduate students and postdoctoral associates, including seven Ph.D. students. Dr. Pritsker's research interests range over Analytic Number Theory, Approximation Theory, Complex Analysis, Numerical Analysis, Potential Theory and Probability. He published 80 research papers in the leading international journals that span across several areas of pure and applied mathematics. He is regularly invited to speak at the national and international meetings, and he is also organizing conferences. Dr. Pritsker's research has been recognized by various awards that include several National Science Foundation and National Security Agency grants, Ralph E. Powe Award from Oak Ridge Associated Universities and Big 12 Faculty Fellowship. On the international scale, he received Humboldt Research Fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (Germany). Dr. Pritsker held the title of AT\&T Professor, and was
appointed as Vaughn Foundation Professor in Number Theory in recognition of his research, teaching, and service at OSU in 2019.
