Igor Karača is a Grammy-nominated composer, pianist and sound designer whose recent work explores the intersection of electronic textures, acoustic instruments, and the natural world. By blending synthesized textures with field recordings and subtle instrumental layers, he creates immersive, meditative soundscapes shaped by clarity, restraint, and meticulous craftsmanship.
Active across concert, electronic, and electro-acoustic mediums, Karača has written extensively for chamber ensembles as well as for film and theater. His music has been performed internationally, and his recent projects continue to emphasize minimalism, timbral nuance, and the expressive potential of technology.
Karača is currently Professor of Music at Oklahoma State University, where he teaches composition, orchestration, music technology, and media-music courses.
