BIO & RESEARCH INTERESTs

Hannah is an Assistant Professor of Agricultural Economics at Oklahoma State University. Hannah's main area of interest is Farm and Agribusiness Management, Livestock, and Production Economics. She is passionate about teaching and has taught more than 7 different courses including Agricultural Marketing, Macroeconomics, Farm Management, Rural Development, and Agricultural Finance. Hannah enjoys mentoring graduate students and has helped them win national awards for their research and Extension efforts. She focuses her own research on applied farm and ranch management issues and sharing those results with the agricultural producers of Oklahoma and the Great Plains.

Hannah was raised on a cow-calf operation in central Kentucky. She earned a dual B.S. degree in Animal Science and Agricultural Economics from the University of Kentucky, where she was recognized as the outstanding graduate of the College of Agriculture in 2012. She went on to study at the University of Arkansas where she earned a dual degree in Agricultural Economics and International Rural Development, which required her to study abroad for a year at the University of Ghent. She earned her Masters in 2015 and then went on to work in Extension at the University if Maryland, where she served as the Beginning Farmer Program Coordinator and Faculty Educator. Hannah returned to the University of Arkansas in 2017 to serve as an Instructor for two years before pursuing her Ph.D. at Kansas State University. She completed her doctorate in 2021 and has been at Oklahoma State University since August 2021.

Research Interests:

Agribusiness and Agricultural Finance, Farm Management, Production Economics, and Livestock Economics.
