BIO & RESEARCH INTERESTs

My research focuses on self-regulation and socioemotional development among youth from diverse backgrounds. Guided by the Integrative Model and the Relational Developmental Systems theory, I am particularly interested in examining how multi-layered ecological systems, such as families and classrooms, shape fluctuation and growth in self-regulation development. Currently, I am using intensive longitudinal methods, such as daily diary, to capture the dynamic nature of self-regulation and the dynamic person-context interaction.

Research Interests:
Self-regulation development, intensive longitudinal method, family, parent-child interaction
