TEACHING SUMMARY

My teaching profile is defined by long-standing faculty service at the Oklahoma State University (OSU) System, primarily adjunct and interdisciplinary contributions to the School of Veterinary Medicine in Stillwater and Rogers State University. With balanced instruction across Medical (D.O. and P.A. programs), Graduate (M.S. and Ph.D.), and Specialized Professional (Forensic Sciences) curricula.

Course Instruction & Coordination

My instructional footprint spans multiple decades and fields, categorized into core areas of activity:

1. Medical and Professional Health Education

Current Core Faculty: Instructor for 1st-year medical students in Medical Biochemistry & Fundamentals in Pharmacology (PCME 8762 / BIOM 6762) and 2nd-year medical students across vital organ blocks, including the Gastrointestinal/Hepatic, Endocrine, and Reproductive Systems.

Physician Assistant (P.A.) Education: Lead specialized instruction in pediatric and geriatric pharmacology/toxicology (PHARM 5011).

Historical Impact: Over a decade of teaching Medical Pharmacology (respiratory, antihistamine, endocrine, and CNS blocks) and specialized tracks like Addiction Medicine.

2. Graduate & Interdisciplinary Program Leadership

Course Coordination: Long-time course coordinator and instructor for premier graduate tracks, notably Environmental Toxins and the Brain (BIOM/ITOX 6543)—cross-listed with the broader Interdisciplinary Toxicology Program—as well as master’s and doctoral research/dissertation courses (BIOM 5000/6000). Also the instructor of record for the BIOM 6513 Neuropharmacology course.

Previous Advanced Seminars: Developed and coordinated staple foundational graduate courses, including Principles of Drug Action, Neurochemistry, Neurochemical Basis of Disease, Neurotoxicology, and Molecular and Cell Biology.

3. Forensic Sciences & Toxicology

Adjunct Professor: Served as a co-instructor, teaching modules in the Forensic Sciences Graduate Program at OSU-CHS, coordinating and teaching heavy-contact courses like Forensic Toxicology (FRNS 5523) and Drug Toxicity (FRNS 5533), alongside teaching modules in Survey in Forensic Science, Forensic Pathology & Medicine, and Research Ethics.
