TEACHING SUMMARY
Dr. Bird's teaching focus is on the intersection of public policy processes and legal institutions. She teaches classes on Judicial Politics and Process; Law and Public Policy; Sports, Law and Politics; Civil Rights; and Constitutional Law. Dr. Bird also invests heavily in undergraduate research and professional development and directs the Bird Law and Public Policy Research Lab (LAPP) and is an Associate Director of the Policy Agendas Project (PAP). She received awards recognizing her dedication to teaching from the University of Texas (2019) and the University at Albany (2022).
