BIO & RESEARCH INTERESTs

Dr. Christian Bester joined the Michael and Anne Greenwood School of Music in 2023 as Assistant Professor of Voice, where he specializes in teaching Applied Voice, and voice related subjects. Dr. Bester's research focuses on marginalized and underrepresented groups, specifically Afrikaans Art Song Literature and Art Song Literature for the LGBTQIA+ community. Dr. Bester serves as Artistic Director for Voces Intimae - The Art of Song, a non-profit arts organization based in Dallas, TX. Prior to joining OSU, Christian served at Northeastern State University, University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, Lawrence Conservatory and Baylor University.

Research Interests:

Dr. Bester's research focuses on marginalized and underrepresented groups.
