BIO & RESEARCH INTERESTs

Dr. Arvind Santhanakrishnan (pronounced 'Sun thAH - nuh - krISH - nun') directs the Applied Fluid Mechanics Lab at OSU. His research interests are in bio-fluid dynamics, bio-inspired design, fluid-structure interaction, medical device design and flow control. His research activities have resulted in over 30 publications in top-tier journals in fluid dynamics (e.g., Physics of Fluids) and biology (e.g., Journal of Experimental Biology) , numerous invited and conference presentations, and >$1M in extramural funding. He has mentored over 40 undergraduate and 12 graduate students to conduct independent research at OSU.
