Media & Strategic Communications

TEACHING SUMMARY

I teach up and down the strategic communications curriculum at OSU, but all my teaching endeavors are centered around helping media students develop their creative and critical thinking skills through problem-based learning both in and out of the classroom. As course leader for Media Style & Structure, I help ensure students receive consistent and effective instruction to fortify both their fundamental and applied media writing skills across multiple sections each semester. In upper division coursework, I help students further develop their content writing skills in Strategic Writing and Advanced PR Writing. I also help students put all the pieces together in Strategic Communications Campaigns, our capstone. My other teaching experience includes courses in media planning, market research, and feature writing.
